Wise Words
Part 4: Wisdom from Above
James addresses that when our lives are not controlled by wisdom from above, the result will be inconsistencies in our profession. Without God’s wisdom, the Christian will never be pure in his/her speech, attitude, and lifestyle. Thus, James reminds us that it is essential to ask God for wisdom to live the life of a faithful follower of Christ.

Part 1: One Sheep

Part 1: One Sheep

Based on Luke 15:1-8, Pr. Jermaine Gayle shares from this passage of Scripture that Jesus invites us to join in a celebration which is far more important than the celebration of our independence as a nation. While we celebrate our independence, we are still not free until Christ; the Shepherd rescues us from our peril.

Part 2: One Coin

Part 2: One Coin

Based on Luke 15:8-11, Pr. Jermaine Gayle shares that we only understand the value of lost souls when we are spiritually poor. When we say that we are rich and increased with goods, we care less for those who Jesus loves and for whose sake He became poor so that He could rescue the perishing and care for the dying.

Part 3: One Brother

Part 3: One Brother

Based on Luke 15:11:32. Elder Grady Yonas explaines the reason why Jesus shared three parables in Luke 15. It was to answer the Pharisees’ question, “Why are you hanging out with sinners?” But Jesus also taught a powerful lesson through a plot twist on the third parable known as the Prodigal Son.

Part 4: The Children of Light

Part 4: The Children of Light

Based on Luke 16:1-13, Pr. Jermaine Gayle shares what it means to be Children of Light in a world full of darkness. Jesus shares a problematic parable to illustrate how His people should react in a moment of crisis. This parable reinforces the lesson that disciples need discernment and quick action when participating in God’s business of saving people.
